Bellota, Bury St Edmunds

Bellota is one of the best restaurants I've been to in the UK, an authentic gem in the beautiful foodie town of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. A year ago, we managed to secure a reservation and were lucky to try their Vuelve tasting menu.

@rubenaguilarbel, @gabriella.fogarasi.92 (superb pastry chef) and the Bellota team create an amazing experience, bringing Spanish food to the UK, integrating it into the fine dining scene but without forgetting about taste and tradition. Every dish is beautifully presented, the product and flavours are amazing, everything is greatly combined in both taste and texture.

Everything was amazing but some great examples were the raviolo with manchego cheese and tomato crumble, the blue beef with oxtail and oloroso wine, the perfect pre dessert with Buddha's hand and the chocolate mousse with turmeric ice cream.
