After trying the original Angelina in Dalston, I couldn't wait to try their newer sister restaurant, Osteria Angelina. If the food looks amazing, I can say it tastes even better.
@usmanhaider097 and the whole @angelina.london team create extraordinary and unique dishes, combining Italian and Japanese cuisines. Unforgettable are the tortellini with truffle and kombu, the hamachi with truffle sauce and furikake and the signature hokkaido milk bread with burnt honey butter.
Other great dishes with peculiar combinations that work surprisingly well were the ox tongue with kizami wasabi and the taglioni with matcha, tuna and caviar. I also recommend the hearty pappardelle with veal and rabbit ragu and soy cured egg yolk and, to finish, the chocolate tortino with soy butter gelato.
The atmosphere and the service are also remarkable. Great for a special occasion (I was lucky I could celebrate my bday there).
